Re: Question on upgrade

Thanks for taking the time to chat today. Great to know my BB unit can do basically everything I need!! Been very solid for 6 years, it just keeps on cutting wood! Also, great to learn about the ATC, clearly not something that would be useful in my shop ... too complex and not enough volume to justi...

Question on upgrade

Do you guys offer any sort of discount or trade-in for upgrading the 2019 version of the BB, or would I need to purchase the whole new unit and scrap this otherwise functional unit? I am thinking of building a new CNC, and looking for additional features, for example automatic tool changes.

Re: Oddball Laser question

AHA!!! I knew I was just doing something dumb, not having run it in ages. Sure enough I didn't have the switch in the computer control position, but in the CW position. Not sure how or why it got moved to the CW position, since I had run it before, and it worked. Didn't even see that in the manual, ...

Oddball Laser question

HI Doug, et al, While I use the CNC on a regular basis, I haven't used my JTech laser (vintage late 2020) in a while, and now I'm having trouble with it. It used to run fine, and I don't think I've done anything to change its setup. The laser itself works fine, albeit at full power. I switched to th...

Has anyone used the BB to drive a 3D Printer?

Looks like it should be possible. Would be cool to multi-task this little guy!

Thanks

Re: Keyboard on touchscreen

I'm sorry to hear this. The new keyboard setup is very annoying, to be honest, and in addition to having extra steps, the new onscreen keyboard covers up so much of the screen that I have to readjust the screen position and then go back in and tap the MDI space to get to enter the commands. This all...

Bug in stopping an M6

Today I was trying to set up a tool and had an issue during the M6 process, as the tool was dropping towards the touch plate, so I hit the stop button. Previous to 1.0, if I did that, the system simply stopped. This is the first time having done this after installing 1.0. This time, when I hit the s...

Re: Stuck in Jogging mode

Yes, I had the same problem. Specifically, I hit the "Stop" button during an operation, and it went into "jogging" mode and could not be operated, requiring me to reboot the system and losing the zero (it reset it to the location where the tool was located), and ruined a delicate part that needed pre...

Keyboard on touchscreen

I know I may be the only one with this issue, but as much as I like v1.0, overall I have a very minor complaint. The new on-screen keyboard for local touchscreens is a step backwards, IMO. Having to touch the keyboard button at the top, and then having to touch the text box adds steps. Also, IIRC, p...

Re: How to eject a USB

Definitely agree that this occurs. I always tell Windows to "fix it", which only takes a second. I did notice one time, I did not "fix" it, and I had some issues with the USB being recognized, so I removed and reinserted and "fixed" it again, and it seems to have solved that problem.
