Re: Change Display Rotation

I realize this is very old, replying mostly so that this info is recorded somewhere. But here's what you needed to do: Run the following, ignore inside the brackets: sudo mount -o remount,rw /boot [makes the file system writable] sudo nano /boot/config.txt [edit the config file] add: display_rotate=...

Touchscreen calibration

Have a controller running 1.0.3. Picked up an Elo ET2201 touchscreen. Plugged in and is completely functional right away, except the horizontal calibration is off on the touchscreen. In the center, it's on. But as you touch further outward, it gets more and more off. When you touch the outer LH/RH e...

Re: Screen aspect ratio fix

This should still be addressed, but just in case anyone else has this same issue after changing monitors, I fixed it and here's how. I found that config.txt was specifying the screen resolution. Normally on a Pi this is not declared, but there must be something in the BB firmware that does it upon f...

Screen aspect ratio fix

When I first started using my BB controller, I had it plugged into a widescreen monitor via HDMI of course. I recently switched it to a standard old 19" LCD, but the video output remains in widescreen. Restarted, dug through settings. Seems like a silly problem but I can't figure out how to fix it, ...

Re: Thoughts after a few months tinkering with BB and observing other controllers

My hope is to solve these "special' functions with programmable buttons. The idea is that users could write a g-code sequence that is automatically executed when a programmable button is clicked. You can follow the status of our implementation of programmable buttons on github at https://github.com...

Thoughts after a few months tinkering with BB and observing other controllers

A few things that at this moment in my limited experience I'd like to see. I have been pouring over CNC router how tos, forums, and have enough experience on my current machine I am starting to get a feel for what to incorporate in the next one. Also, disclaimer, I might be doing something fundament...

Re: Vectric Post Processor

Pulled from github this morning about 10am. Vcarve was installed about a week ago. I tried Buildbotics_inch.pp, _mm, _no_jet_inch and _no_jet_mm. Error happens like this (in Vcarve Desktop V10 Trial): Toolpaths -> Install Post Processor... Select Buildbotics_inch.pp Error dialog box pops up with the...

Re: Vectric Post Processor

Trying to install a PP with Vcarve desktop (just downloaded, V10). Didn't see a buildbotics PP included anywhere, and when I tried to install any of the ones you listed it fails.
