Re: PWM Spindle stops sending signal after homing device.

Hey Doug! Thanks for your help, as always. I do have a brand new (Arrived directly from them on Wednesday) JTechPhotonics laser. And I confirmed with a multimeter that the controller was not even send a signal after homing. And also the laser works totally fine as long as I don’t home which I think ...

Re: PWM Spindle stops sending signal after homing device.

Triggering the end stops manually or jogging the machine seem to have no problem so it seems maybe software related?

PWM Spindle stops sending signal after homing device.

I was able to configure my laser using the PWM spindle options outlined in a previous post from Doug. It all worked perfectly until I homed the machine. This is repeatable behavior. Power on machine PWM signal between 0-3.3V works as expected and variations within. However, if I home the machine it ...

Re: Overheat Notifications

Cool, I'll pull the lid off and make sure it's still connected. It is mounted vertically so maybe it has come loose? I am running latest firmware, as well. It also was a pretty hefty 3D cut so there were a lot of smaller moves grouped together. It's good to know that it will kill off less important ...

Re: Overheat Notifications

Hi Doug! 000165 And to clarify, I was being sincere that it's a cool feature that it notifies you that it's happening. When I reread this it could have been interpreted as snarky. It kept going on without issue, but the notifications came up every other minute or so and stayed for a minute or two th...

Overheat Notifications

Found a neat feature. Was 83° in the garage last night and kept getting overheat pi message. What ambient temp will this run up to? Might need to add some active cooling.

Re: Xbox One controller - wireless

Awesome! This got it. Weirdly, it seems they (Xbox One and Logitech) output the exact same EVtest data, but I had to modify default to get it to work. Only need to mod the Z of the default to use the ABS_RZ and the rest worked out of the box (I'd assume if you had an A axis it'd need the mod as well...

Xbox One controller - wireless

I've been able to connect the Xbox One bluetooth controller via a USB bluetooth connection and the X/Y moves and face buttons behave same as logitech gamepad, but the A/Z stick doesn't move the Z. Any ideas on how to map those? I used this guide as the basics on getting it connected. I did not mod f...

Re: Vectric Post Processor

I just picked up V-carve. Was pleasantly surprised to find this post processor. Using it for a carve as I type this and monitor it via the webcam. Very cool that you already have the G0 msg to wait for spindle to reach speed (although, I'm still hoping that custom G-code arrives sooner than later :D...

Re: How do you enter a pause in a gcode program

Awesome! Also, I freaking love using the RS485, no more trying to decide which way to tune/trade off the voltage to get max/min from the spindle. Really stoked about this feature.
