Re: Vectric Post Processor

It seems that my post processors are not fully compatible with older versions of Vectric software. They fail on stuff related to water jet control. So, I created two new posts called buildbotics_no_jet_inch.pp and buildbotics_no_jet_mm.pp . They are now available on github at https://github.com/buil...

Re: PWM -> 0-10V adapter

This is the first time I've seen the particular spindle and power supply that you are using. The PWM to 0-10V converter that you referenced will probably work, but the information provided is a little unclear. The Buildbotics Controller puts out a 3.3V PWM signal. The PWM output frequency from the B...

Re: general question

LinuxCNC, however we do not support the complete set. The "Cheat Sheet" page on the BB controller describes the GCodes that are supported. In addition, it provides hypertext links to the specification for the specific GCodes. Those links go to the LinuxCNC documentation. Also, if you create a new po...

Re: VFD/Spindle causing Controller to Crash

When we last spoke, he reported that he rerouted his spindle cable to separate it from the power cable serving the Buildbotics Controller and the problem went away.

Re: Raspberry Pi 4B

Thank you for the suggestion. We have looked briefly at the RPi 4. One problem it that they moved the connectors on the RPi 4 from where they were on the RPi 3, so we can't just change them out without changing our back panels. Aside from that, we're told that the 4 runs a bit hotter than the 3 and ...

Re: Vectric Post Processor

Thanks for pointing this out, Mick. The correct link is:

https://github.com/buildbotics/buildbot ... -processor

I also corrected the first posting that you responded to.

Re: Enable Stepper Motors

We do not have a command to do this. However, all the motors get tuned off when the machine goes into estop. You could click the estop button. Beware that estop clears all position information so you will have to re-home the machine after the estop clears.

Re: Do away with "offset"

I have submitted a new issue on github asking for this change. You can see the issue (and add to it if you like) on github. The issue can be viewed at the following link.
