Welcome Mark, Glad you like the product. Actually, this capability already exists. After you have created a configuration, just go to the "General" page and click "Backup". This will prompt you to save the configuration in a file. Then, when you want to get this configuration back, go to the "Genera...

You just tune it by feel. If jerk is too low, the machine will seem sluggish. If it's too high, starting and stopping will be very abrupt (espescially if acceleration is very high) and could actually cause the machine to physically jerk or even stall.

Adjusting feed rate on the fly is pretty difficult. But, adjusting spindle speed is not too difficult. What would you think of being able to adjust spindle speed but not feed rate as an interim feature?

Have you tried running your program at a different location on your machine? If the machine is binding in a specific spot, then moving to a different place on the machine should either eliminate the binding or cause it to occur at a different spot in the program.

I ran your program at least 20 times (each time, manually homing the z axis to .395 before I start. No failures. Any suggestions on how I can simulate the problem?

Please create a "bug report" and attach it to a post. When you do this, make sure that a gcode program that demonstrates the failure is currently loaded. This will give me a copy of your gcode program and your configuration. Also if possible, please note in your posting the line in the gcode program...
