Re: Control 'Un-homing' itself
Unlikely. I'm never actually seeing the estop flashing, it just goes from referenced and homed to all offsets and current position at zero. There's no error state after it all zeroes out, I can still move the machine I just have to re-home and set offsets again. It doesn't seem to only happen when p...

Re: Control 'Un-homing' itself
Thanks Doug. I will try to get a bug report next time it happens - right after I posted this I was playing with probing some more and had the issue happen 4 more times. I realized that it didn't have anything to do with the machine idling, I was just most likely to notice it after I had been away fr...

Re: How does probing work?
Okay, here's what I've got (and it works!): First I have to run this. I have it set up as a macro, so I put my probe in (which is just a 1/8" ground pin) and press the button to run this macro. This just sets the #<_last_z> parameter for the next tool changes, and then after that I use the probe too...

Control 'Un-homing' itself
Hey Doug and BB team, Something I've had happen a few times on my control is it will seem to time out, and when I come back to it the control un-homes all axes and zeroes out all work offsets (like it just turned itself on). I use a touchscreen laptop most of the time connected over network, and I h...

Re: How does probing work?
Thanks, that actually helped a lot. I knew about parameters (vaguely) but I didn't see any free parameters to use when glancing through the LinuxCNC documentation - although I could have missed it, a lot of that is foreign to me. But for example the Haas control has a range of numbers that are unuse...

Re: How does probing work?
Hey all, Sorry if this is a silly question - I'm very new to writing any sort of gcode as I'm used to having CAM do all the work for me. Trying to get my tool height probe set up but I'm a little confused about how to get it to work the way I'd like (or if it's even possible with the Buildbotics con...
