Vectric has created a Post Processor for the Buildbotics Controller. It will be included in future releases of their products. For existing and older Vectric products, you can get it from github at https://github.com/buildbotics/buildbot ... -processor .

Please report your experiences with this post processor in this forum.

Thanks for pointing this out, Mick. The correct link is:

https://github.com/buildbotics/buildbot ... -processor

I also corrected the first posting that you responded to.

It seems that my post processors are not fully compatible with older versions of Vectric software. They fail on stuff related to water jet control. So, I created two new posts called buildbotics_no_jet_inch.pp and buildbotics_no_jet_mm.pp . They are now available on github at https://github.com/buildbotics/buildbot ... -processor .

If you have problems loading buildbotics_mm.pp or buildbotics_inch.pp, you should give these a try.

Trying to install a PP with Vcarve desktop (just downloaded, V10). Didn't see a buildbotics PP included anywhere, and when I tried to install any of the ones you listed it fails.

"Config file
Unknown statement in file
On line 7 of file
....\Buildbotics_inch.pp"

I am able to load and run Buildbotics_inch.pp into VCarve Desktop Trial version 10.0. When did you last download the Buildbotics post processors from github? Also, at what point do you encounter the error?

Pulled from github this morning about 10am. Vcarve was installed about a week ago. I tried Buildbotics_inch.pp, _mm, _no_jet_inch and _no_jet_mm.

Error happens like this (in Vcarve Desktop V10 Trial):
Toolpaths -> Install Post Processor...
Select Buildbotics_inch.pp
Error dialog box pops up with the exact message I posted earlier.

I saw you posted that Vectric created one but didn't find it anywhere in the current installation, so must be on later releases than current. Hoping to get this figured out as I did just pick up the full version and will mess with that later tomorrow...

Hmmm,

I just re-installed the latest version of Vectric Desktop Trial (10.016) and then reinstalled the four buildbotics post processors and they installed and ran with no problems.

I am running Windows 10. What operating system are you running?

Also, I wonder if your post processor files are somehow corrupted. Your error message suggests that it failed on line 7 of the file, but line seven is a comment, starting with a '+'. It seems unlikely that the installation would fail on a comment.

Can you attach one of the failing post processor files to your response?

I just picked up V-carve. Was pleasantly surprised to find this post processor. Using it for a carve as I type this and monitor it via the webcam. Very cool that you already have the G0 msg to wait for spindle to reach speed (although, I'm still hoping that custom G-code arrives sooner than later :D ). Just wanted to say thanks!

To those of you getting an error it is because your downloading the post processor wrong (git hub is weird).
you need to click each post processor and then at the top right of the code there is a button that says (RAW).
Right click on the RAW button and save the link.
This should install properly now.
Also, heres the correct link to download them:
