I needed a new spindle motor for my engraving machine and I found this: https://www.oyostepper.de/goods-802-800 ... ieren.html
Everything about it is good, and all parameters match the original spindle motor of my engraving machine. But its cooling method is water-cooled, while my original spindle motor cooling method is air-cooled. Will there be any impact?

Re: CNC engraving machine spindle motor replacement
If all the specs are the same it should work. However, this is really a question for your VFD vendor to comfirm that the spindle is compatible with the VFD.

Yes, switching from air-cooled to water-cooled will have a big impact. You'll need a completely separate system (pump, radiator, tubing, and coolant) for it to work. If your machine wasn't designed for it, retrofitting can be a lot of work. If you just want a simple swap, I'd stick with another air-cooled spindle.
