End stop kills setup.

I noticed e-stop loses coordinates for X/Y/Z. In addition it seems hitting a limit switch will also do this. This is very frustrating. If I accidentally overshoot with a jog command I see no reason to have to start over. While I expect with e-stop you’re dealing with a catastrophic situation (had plenty of those in my learning) but hitting an end stop seems like a known quantity. I would expect at worst it should re-home that axis to be as close as possible but I shouldn’t lose all my work (especially probing) that was unaffected.

If you have homed your machine properly, you should never hit a limit switch. You have to configure your soft limits so that the machine will stop before getting to the limit switch. If you do that and then home the machine, the BB Controller software will prevent you from hitting the switch.

Hmmmm...you're absolutely right (per usual). I wonder if I was navigating after an error and the homing was no longer in effect... Thanks!

I seem to remember that the joystick will go past the end steps. Maybe this is before it's been 0 to start up maybe not

The joy stick will not travel past the soft limits if the machine has been homed.

Yeah it's before it's homed. Trying to move the carriage to a closer location so it home is faster there seems to be an awful lot of either delay or stored integration of the input signal from The controller joystick and so continues moving quite a ways when you let go of the joystick.

Try selecting a slower speed on the game controller. Speed is controlled using the four buttons ("X", "Y", "B") and "A") just above and to the right of the right joystick on the game pad.
