Proper wiring techniques

Post by missionarymike » Tue Oct 19, 2021 6:42 pm

So I posted this on the FB page.

I was going to use a shielded thhn stranded cable for motors and limit switches to eliminate potential emi noise.

In the panel, what is the best way to terminate/combine the shrouded drain wires? Do they connect to 36v ground or just connect to the metal panel as an earth ground?

Just a note, my machine is 240v and I will have the high voltage ground bonded to the machine and metal control panel cabinet.

And also, is it a good idea to bond the z-axis, x-axis, and table altogether?

I don’t understand ground loops and if this setup would create one.

Thank you!
