Proper shutdown procedure
Hi gentlemen, I have received my Buildbotics controller and I am playing around with it a bit. I was wondering, having some bad experiences with corrupt SD cards in my other raspberry pi-s, which were mainly due to improper shutdowns, what is the proper shutdown procedure for the Buildbotics controller? I do not see any "shutdown" button in the interface and just turning off the controller with the switch feels very wrong with a computer...
Re: Proper shutdown procedure
Just turn off the enable switch. To my knowledge, this hasn't caused any corruption of the internal microSD cards.
You may be having trouble with microSD cards or thumb drives that you then move to a Windows PC because the Raspberry PI ignores the 'dirty' bit on the card. If the Windows machine sees the dirty bit, it thinks the card has a problem and complains. As far as I know, you can still use it if you ignore the complaint.
