Slaved Motor Switching Directions

Post by Midnight-Maker.com » Sun May 15, 2022 2:00 pm

I have M1 set to X axis and M2 set to X axis (slave). When I use the game controller, the gantry initially goes in the correct direction, but then subsequent jogs cause the motors to go in opposite directions, torqueing the gantry. I have tried every combination of which motor is the slave, reversed and not reversed, still the same issue. Please advise. Thanks!

I recommend disconnecting the motors from the couplers. Then, look to determine whether the motors turn in the correct direction with no load.
