Bookworm (Wayland) + v1.0.4?

Post by Eric » Wed Mar 13, 2024 2:06 am

Correct me if I’m wrong, but it looks like Buildbotics hardware is being upgraded and firmware version is bumped to v2.0 while there is no official release of v1.0.4.

So, is there any plans or is it possible to make an official v1.0.4 release with upgraded base image? Graphic performance has been a bit sluggish thus I was wondering if Wayland provides a better performance. Thanks!

Version 2 only works with the latest controller hardware which runs on the RPi4. We have noticed that the local monitor is a bit sluggish on the new stuff. Joe is looking into it.

Ah, OK. Thanks Doug! I’ve got old hardware, so I was just wondering if there is any plans for releasing Bookworm armhf base image and official v1.0.4 firmware release. If not then I’m guessing it will be possible to upgrade the old hardware to Pi4 at some point as well? Thanks!

I’m sorry but the old hardware is not compatible with the RPI4.
