Non Network Connection Option

Post by bor MC » Thu Dec 03, 2020 3:54 pm

Is there a way to connect to the BB controller and run my machine if the internet/network goes down? The area where I work can be prone to connectivity issues. We had one today just before I ran a file. Put us on hold for a few hours.

You can connect a monitor, keyboard, and mouse directly to the back of the Buildbotics Controller and run it without a network connection. If you are using this method, you can load your GCode files by plugging a USB thumb drive into the back of the controller.

You can eliminate the keyboard and mouse by using a touch screen monitor. I use an ASUS VT168H touch screen monitor in my shop and it works great.

BTW, using the local monitor does not preclude accessing the Buildbotics Controller from across your network. You can do both simultaneously.
