Losing Z

Post by Eisels Kustomz » Tue Aug 19, 2025 11:53 am

Hello Everyone

Took a few months off from the cnc. Seems like every time i take a break the machine gets buggy. I am having the problem of losing my z half way through a cut it starts diving. I have checked all screws/bolts and all connections. It cut for 15 minutes and it just sinks the bit. I am manually homing x and y not Z cause if I home z in a safe place it will not let me zero Z on my work piece. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have any holding current set on your z-axis? If so, how much?
