So I'm upgrading to a 2.2kw water cooled spindle and was thinking of using the load1 output to turn on and off the water pump.
My controller is currently powered by a 36volt power supply
The water pump is 12volt
My thoughts were to run the load1 output to a step down converter as below

Then from the step down 12 volt to the water pump
Will this work?
Any better solutions?
Thanks
Mick

Re: Load1 36v down to 12v
That should work, but something like this would be cheaper, and it is sealed.

I am using one of these for another application and it seems to work fine.

Re: Load1 36v down to 12v
Doug any recommendations for a relay that I can use for the load 1 output which is 3.3volts?
3.3v trigger 36v from the power supply
or
3.3 trigger 24v after the convertor
Solid state relay?

Re: Load1 36v down to 12v
I have been using the SSR40-DD solid state relays successfully on the 3.3V outputs. Here's a link:
